In a Facebook post, The Pittsfield Police Department announced that they will be holding their next Explorer Scout recruitment. The event will take place on Monday, May 13th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Pittsfield High School, located at 300 East Street. Attendees are asked to use the Appleton Avenue side of the school.
The Department is actively recruiting individuals between the ages of 14 and 20 who may be interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or those who “have the personal drive to make a difference in their community working alongside our officers,” according to the post. Members learn what it takes to become a police officer, gain insight and firsthand knowledge of the department’s policies, train in self defense tactics, and much more.
